The 38-year-old took charge of Como on an interim basis in 2023 , when the club was in the second tier of Italian football, and guided the club to promotion to Serie A a few months later.
Como are now in fifth place in Serie A, three points behind fourth-placed Juventus, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.
As a result of Fabregas’ impact at Como, there are now suggestions that the former Spain international could return to the Premier League to take charge of one of his former clubs.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has explained how Arsenal could be a potential destination for Fabregas, but does not believe the same can be said about Chelsea.
“Cesc Fabregas, what I’ve been told, there’s some kind of suggestion that long-term, the plan for him is to manage Arsenal one day,” Solhekol stated on the Transfer Talk podcast from Sky Sports.
“I’m not sure moving to Chelsea would be part of his career progression.”
Como sporting director Ludi recently addressed the speculation surrounding Fabregas’ future at the club, amid rumours that a job elsewhere could be lined up.

“We’re calm. We’re focused on these next few games,” Ludi told Sport Mediaset this week.
“We’re incredibly aligned with Cesc but we can’t predict the future. However, I’m sure that we will continue this journey together.”
Fabregas left Barcelona’s academy to join Arsenal and went on to make 303 appearances for the Gunners, winning an FA Cup during his time in north London.
